Ingredients:
– 1 can of refrigerated biscuits (8-10 biscuits)
– 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Optional: 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Open the can of biscuits and separate the dough into individual biscuits.
3. Roll out each biscuit into a thin circle, about 1/8 inch thick.
4. Place a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each biscuit circle.
5. Sprinkle a pinch of Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano over the mozzarella cheese.
6. Fold the biscuit dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
7. Place the biscuit bombs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each bomb.
8. Brush the tops of the biscuit bombs with olive oil.
9. Bake the biscuit bombs in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Remove the biscuit bombs from the oven and let them cool for 2-3 minutes.
11. Serve the gooey mozzarella biscuit bombs warm, garnished with chopped fresh basil if desired.
Tips:
– Use high-quality mozzarella cheese for the best flavor.
– Don’t overfill the biscuit bombs, as the cheese will melt and expand during baking.
– If you want an extra-gooey center, bake the biscuit bombs for 10-11 minutes instead.
– Experiment with different herbs and spices, such as garlic powder or dried thyme, to add extra flavor to the biscuit bombs.
