Basil and pepper shrimp 🍀🌿 🌢

Ingredients:

– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 1/4 cup olive oil
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for some heat)

Instructions:

1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
3. Add the garlic and sautΓ© for 1 minute, until fragrant.
4. Add the chopped basil and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.
5. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
6. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and are cooked through.
7. Serve the shrimp hot, garnished with additional basil leaves if desired.
