– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted
For the Cheesecake:
– 2 pounds cream cheese, softened
– 3 large eggs
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup sour cream
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup crushed Kit-Kat bars (about 4-6 bars)
For the Whipped Cream:
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
For the Kit-Kat Ganache:
– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
– 1 cup crushed Kit-Kat bars (about 4-6 bars)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
2. Prepare the crust: Mix crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press into a 9-inch springform pan.
3. Prepare the cheesecake: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Stir in crushed Kit-Kat bars.
4. Pour cheesecake batter into prepared pan over crust.
5. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
6. Prepare whipped cream: Beat heavy cream and granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
7. Prepare Kit-Kat ganache: Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval. Stir in heavy cream, butter, and crushed Kit-Kat bars.
8. Assemble cheesecake: Top cooled cheesecake with whipped cream and drizzle with Kit-Kat ganache.
