Ingredients:
– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
4. Heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
5. Using a funnel or a piping bag, pour the batter into the hot oil in long, thin strips.
6. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
7. Remove the funnel cake sticks from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
8. Dust with powdered sugar (if desired) and serve warm.
