fried fish new year special gift

Posted on January 1, 2025 by admin

Ingredients:

– 4 fish fillets (any white fish works well, such as cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi)
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup buttermilk
– Vegetable oil for frying
– Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the fish: Cut the fish fillets into desired sizes.
2. Create the breading mixture: In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Dip in buttermilk: Dip each fish piece into the buttermilk, coating completely.
4. Bread the fish: Roll the fish piece in the breading mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
5. Fry the fish: Heat about 1/2-inch (1 cm) of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded fish pieces for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Drain excess oil: Remove the fried fish from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
7. Serve: Serve the fried fish hot with lemon wedges on the side, if desired.

Tips:

– Use fresh fish for the best flavor and texture.
– Don’t overbread the fish, as this can make it heavy and greasy.
– If you want to make the recipe extra crispy, you can chill the breaded fish pieces in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before frying.

Enjoy your delicious Fried Fish!
