Posted on January 11, 2025 by admin

Ingredients

– 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee beans
– 6 ounces of water
– Optional: sugar, cream, or other desired flavorings

Instructions

1. Heat the water: Heat water to around 200°F (93°C) in a kettle or on the stovetop.
2. Measure the coffee: Measure out 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee for every 6 ounces of water.
3. Prepare the brewing device: Place a paper filter in a drip coffee maker, or add coffee grounds to a French press, pour-over, or other brewing device.
4. Add coffee grounds: Add the measured coffee grounds to the brewing device.
5. Pour in the water: Carefully pour the heated water over the coffee grounds in the brewing device.
6. Steep: Allow the coffee to steep for the recommended amount of time for your brewing device (usually 3-5 minutes).
7. Strain and serve: Strain the coffee into a cup and add any desired sugar, cream, or flavorings.

Variations

– Espresso: Use an espresso machine to force pressurized hot water through finely ground coffee beans.
– Latte: Combine espresso with steamed milk and a layer of frothed milk on top.
– Cappuccino: Combine espresso with steamed milk and a layer of frothed milk on top, with a higher milk-to-coffee ratio than a latte.
– Cold brew: Steep coarse-ground coffee in cold water for an extended period (usually 12-24 hours) and strain before serving.
