– 1/2 cup ghee or unsalted butter
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1 tsp ground cardamom
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
– Chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pistachios) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat ghee in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Add grated carrots and cook, stirring occasionally, until they’re tender and lightly browned (about 20-25 minutes).
3. Add milk, sugar, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well.
4. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the liquid is absorbed (about 20-25 minutes).
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped nuts.
6. Serve warm or chilled.
