Ingredients:
– 1 package of biscuit or croissant dough (homemade or store-bought)
– 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese blend)
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Optional: chopped parsley or chives for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Prepare garlic butter: Mix the softened butter and minced garlic in a small bowl.
3. Roll out dough: Roll out the biscuit or croissant dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch (6 mm).
4. Cut out squares: Cut the dough into squares, about 3 inches (7.5 cm) per side.
5. Assemble cheese bombs: Place a tablespoon of shredded cheese in the center of each square. Brush the edges with the garlic butter.
6. Fold and seal: Fold the dough squares in half over the cheese, pressing the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
7. Brush with garlic butter: Brush the tops of the cheese bombs with the remaining garlic butter.
8. Sprinkle with paprika: Sprinkle the tops with paprika.
9. Bake: Bake the cheese bombs for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!
Tips:
– Use high-quality cheese for the best flavor.
– Don’t overfill the dough squares, as the cheese will melt and expand during baking.
– If you want an extra-garlicky flavor, you can increase the amount of garlic or add some garlic powder to the dough.
– Experiment with different types of cheese and herbs to create unique flavor combinations.
