Ingredients
– 1 package of cream cheese (8 ounces), softened
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 1/2 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 4-6 bars)
– 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
– Optional: chopped peanuts or sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until combined.
3. Stir in the crushed Butterfinger candy bars, vanilla extract, and salt.
4. Mix well until a dough forms.
5. Use a small cookie scoop or your hands to shape the dough into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. You should end up with around 20-25 balls.
6. Place the white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval, until smooth.
7. Dip each Butterfinger ball into the melted white chocolate, using a fork or dipping tool to fully coat.
8. Place the coated balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a silicone mat.
9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
10. If desired, garnish with chopped peanuts or sprinkles.
11. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Tips
– To crush the Butterfinger candy bars, place them in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin or your hands to crush them into small pieces.
– If the dough is too sticky, you can refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes to firm it up before shaping into balls.
– Experiment with different types of candy or mix-ins, like chopped peanut butter cups or M&M’s, to create unique flavor combinations
