Ingredients
- 4 lobster tails (6–8 oz each)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Lobster Tails
- Preheat the oven to broil (500°F/260°C). Position a rack in the top third of the oven.
- Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail, from the wide end to the base of the tail fin.
- Gently pry the shell open and use your fingers to loosen the meat from the bottom shell, keeping it attached at the tail end. Lift the meat over the shell, resting it on top.
2. Make the Butter Mixture
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
3. Brush the Lobster Tails
- Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Generously brush the butter mixture over the lobster meat, ensuring even coverage. Reserve some butter for serving if desired.
4. Broil the Lobster Tails
- Broil the lobster tails in the oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and slightly golden on top.
- The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C) for perfectly cooked lobster.
5. Serve
- Remove the lobster tails from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges and the remaining butter sauce on the side.
Tips for Perfect Lobster Tails
- Size Matters: Adjust cooking time for smaller or larger lobster tails.
- Avoid Overcooking: Lobster turns tough if overcooked—keep an eye on them!
- Pairing: Serve with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a crisp salad for a complete meal.
