No-Fuss Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow or white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the Strawberry Base:
    • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
    • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract (if using) until smooth.
    • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the pie filling and gently spread it into an even layer.
  4. Add the Cake Mix:
    • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese and strawberry layers.
  5. Drizzle with Butter:
    • Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the dry cake mix. Do not stir—it will bake into a crumbly, golden topping.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the dump cake cool for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, if desired.

Tips:

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts or granola over the top before baking.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat!
