Ingredients:
– 1 lb (450g) beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
– 2 large onions, sliced
– 3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 large bell peppers (any color), sliced
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– Salt, to taste
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
2. Add beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet.
3. Add onions and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Add bell peppers to the skillet and cook until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
5. Return beef strips to the skillet and stir in black pepper, paprika, salt, soy sauce (if using), and Worcestershire sauce (if using).
6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the beef is cooked to your liking.
Macaroni Cheese
Ingredients:
– 8 oz (225g) macaroni
– 2 cups (475ml) milk
– 2 cups (220g) grated cheddar cheese
– 1 cup (115g) grated mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup (55g) all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
4. Add flour and whisk to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
5. Gradually pour in milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
7. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
8. Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
9. Transfer the macaroni mixture to a baking dish and top with additional grated cheese (if desired).
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the macaroni is heated through.
