plantains with no oil

Ingredients:

– 2-3 ripe or green plantains
– Salt, to taste
– Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or other seasonings of your choice

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Peel the plantains and slice them into 1-inch rounds.
3. Place the plantain slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Sprinkle salt and any desired seasonings over the plantains.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the plantains are tender and caramelized, flipping them halfway through.
6. Remove from the oven and serve hot.

Grilled Plantains

Ingredients:

– 2-3 ripe or green plantains
– Salt, to taste

Boiled Plantains

Ingredients:

– 2-3 ripe or green plantains
– Salt, to taste
– Water, for boiling

Instructions:

1. Peel the plantains and place them in a large pot of salted water.
2. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the plantains are tender.
3. Drain the plantains and serve hot.

These methods allow you to cook plantains without using oil, while still bringing out their natural sweetness and flavor. Enjoy!
