– 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze (optional):
– 1 cup (200g) powdered sugar
– 2 tbsp apple cider
Instructions:
For the Loaf:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×5-inch (23x13cm) loaf pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, apple cider, eggs, and vanilla extract.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Crust:
1. Mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
2. Remove the loaf from the oven and immediately sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top.
3. Return the loaf to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
For the Glaze (optional):
1. Whisk together powdered sugar and apple cider in a small bowl until smooth.
2. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled loaf.
